About Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club
Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club runs its own purpose-built circuit at 60 Cowarra Access Road, in the bush between Wauchope and Port Macquarie on the NSW Mid North Coast. The club has been part of the region's dirt bike scene for more than fifty years and its raceway is a familiar name on the state calendar, having hosted rounds of the NSW Motocross State Titles including Round 2 of the 2024 Junior and Senior titles. The program covers club championship rounds, practice and training days, and licence-free Ride Park Days run under Motorcycling Australia's scheme, which are open to riders of all ages and experience without a competition licence. Newcomers are looked after through Kick Start programs for juniors and licence pathways for riders wanting to step up into racing. The circuit is laid out to work for a wide spread of abilities, from little ones on Kick Start bikes through to seniors chasing state points, and local dealers use it for demo and try-before-you-buy days as well. Sitting among state forest, it has the bush, semi-rural feel typical of Mid North Coast venues, with a canteen, toilets and a proper pit and paddock area. Like most clubs of its size, it runs on volunteers, and membership fees, gate takings and canteen sales are what keep the track groomed and the improvements coming. It is a genuine grassroots club that serves Wauchope and Port Macquarie families week to week, then fills the pits with interstate plates when the bigger meetings come to town. Event dates, race order and results are published on the club's website and Facebook page.
